Best Margarita Ever!

Best Casta Negra Margarita everOK, we had a big Casta Negra party at the beach in California, on a friend's deck. Live band, killer Mexican food ... the works. And our friend, Joe Miller, was in charge of mixin' up the Margaritas. So many people told us that it was the, "Best Margarita they had ever had (and these are pros, mind you)." And they demanded we send them the recipe. So we did and now we're sharing.

Ingredients: Casta Negra Plata 100% Agave Tequila, agave nectar, Limes, Cointreau Orange Liqueur, Ice, Salt (optional)
Recommended Tools: Lime squeezer, cocktail shaker

1.5oz Casta Negra Plata Tequila
2 tsp. Agave Nectar
1 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1 Splash Cointreau

Add Casta Negra Tequila, agave nectar, and lime juice into a shaker containing enough ice to fill your preferred margarita glass.
Shake very well, pour contents into glass, top with Cointreau, and serve.

Garnish with lime wheel or wedge, and an optional salted glass rim.

Hot Weather Drink Recipes

Diablo Margarita
For some reason, Margaritas taste especially
good while nursing a light sunburn, but that's
not the only reason to break into the tequila
during the summer.
The Paloma and the fruity Paloma Brava are fantastic for backyard get-togethers—the cookout I attended on Sunday is proof of that—and the spirit also features in other summer coolers such as the Diablo.

Have a good blanco tequila on hand for Margaritas, as they'll give the drink more of a peppery bite— Our
Casta Negra Plata is just what the doctor (aka mixologist) ordered. For Palomas and other drinks that benefit from a little more richness, and our Casta Negra Reposado works really well.
